I can think of a couple of ways to use a blog. One way would be to help my fellow learners in the education program. I could blog about my school experiences and issues that I faced as a developing teacher. I could give advice to others about what to do or what not to do based on my personal experience in certain school related situations. Blogging about what worked for me or what did not work may be of use to a fellow student who may be struggling to grasp a concept, seek assistance, etc.
I could also use my blog in relation to my future classroom. Some of the same topics apply to that as well. I could blog about such things as certain experiences that I have had in my classroom, how I handled difficult situations, or what has worked for me as an educator and what has not. The possibilities are endless.
I agree that the possibilities are endless to what you can do with your blog. The idea of using your blog to share advice about becoming a teacher is good idea. It will allow others to realize that they are not alone in struggling and how they can make it better.
ReplyDeleteI think that using a blog to update other teachers of the problems or things you have faced would be very helpful. I think that starting teachers will really appreciate the advice and put it to good use.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kristen and Holly. That is what I was thinking of when I wrote this blog. I thought about how I would have been grateful for some advice and guidance when I first entered college. I would be very appreciative of some guidance and advice from other teachers once I become a first year teacher because I am sure there will be instances that I do not know what to do and situations that I do not know how to handle. I hope that I can provide those things to others through my blog. :)
